The North American Defence Industrial Base

November 16, 2010 - Speaking to an expert audience of over 100 guests at the Embassy of Canada in Washington D.C., CCC's President and CEO, Mr. Marc Whittingham addressed the importance of strategic Canada-U.S. defence cooperation in an era of ever-changing global security environments and economic uncertainty. Mr. Whittingham spoke to academics, military officials and representatives from government and associations in attendance about the Canada-U.S. industrial base, global supply chain and new positioning for global sales. All elements of which are integral to the preservation and support of an integrated and robust North American defence industrial base. As the President of an organization at the forefront of Canada-U.S. trade in the defence sector, Mr. Whittingham emphasized the importance of ongoing strategic dialogue and cooperation to further enhance the Canada-U.S. relationship and to develop future global defence market opportunities.

CADSI National Security Forum

The Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) in collaboration and support of Public Safety Canada will be hosting a National Security Forum aimed at public policy makers, operators, and industry suppliers in the public safety sector. The objective of the forum is to foster a better understanding between and amongst these communities. CSR in Africa and Emerging Markets

The Canada-South Africa Chamber of Business is hosting its 4th Annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seminar that will explain how companies can mitigate their risk in Africa and other emerging markets and how the implementation of effective CSR programs can assist in reducing their risk profiles. The program will feature expert speakers, including a presentation by Mr. Don Olsen, Director, Sales and Contract Structuring at CCC, panel discussions, questions and answers, case studies by successful Canadian companies and excellent networking opportunities.

Global Petroleum Show - June 8-10, 2010, Calgary, Alberta

The Global Petroleum Show (GPS) is a biennial event and the largest oil and gas show in the world. The show occupies in excess of 500,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits showcasing both upstream and downstream segments of the oil and gas industry. Over 60,000 people attend the show. As a sponsor, the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) can be found at the Alberta International House (AIH) and will be represented by Lisa Rhoades, Marketing Manager.


CCC's 3rd Annual Public Meeting will be held at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Ontario, on Thursday June 3, 2010, from 3:00-7:00 pm.
