When CCC was created in 1946, the Corporation’s purpose was to assist the Government of Canada in the reconstruction of Europe after World War II. From 1968 to 1978, CCC undertook all procurement with respect to supplies in aid to foreign countries for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). After nearly 60 years, and development contracts covering almost every region of the globe, CCC’s work continues to support Canada’s global peace and prosperity objectives. Here are some examples:
