CCC Announces Appointment of Interim President and CEO

Mr. Douglas Harrison, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Carl Marcotte as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of CCC, effective September 9, 2019.
Current President and CEO, Mr. Martin Zablocki, recently announced he would be retiring on completion of his term. Mr. Harrison thanked Mr. Zablocki for his significant contributions to CCC and the Government of Canada over more than 29 years of public service.
Since 2017, Mr. Marcotte has been CCC’s Vice-President, Operations, where he led CCC’s business diversification initiative to assist a growing number of Canadian exporters from new and developing sectors. Before joining CCC, Mr. Marcotte spent more than 26 years in international trade, risk management and structured finance, including executive positions in the nuclear industry.
CCC’s Board of Directors continues to work with the Government of Canada to complete a selection and appointment process for a permanent President and CEO.
CCC is Canada’s government-to-government contracting organization.
CCC supports the growth of international trade by helping Canadian exporters gain access to foreign government procurement markets. Through a unique government-to-government contracting approach, CCC positions qualified Canadian exporters to win international contracts with governments abroad, while significantly reducing the risks associated with foreign procurement. As well, CCC’s commercial advocacy, collaborative project development and foreign contracting expertise help Canadian exporters and foreign government buyers reduce procurement risk in key markets, including aerospace, defence & public safety, information & communication technologies, infrastructure, and clean tech.
