background-color: var(--base-3); font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\">CCC\u2019s mandate is defined in the\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\" href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/C-14\/page-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canadian Commercial Corporation Act<\/a><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); background-color: var(--base-3); font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\"> and we report to Parliament through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.international.gc.ca\/global-affairs-affaires-mondiales\/home-accueil.aspx?lang=eng\">Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); background-color: var(--base-3); font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p>As a Crown corporation, and according to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/f-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Financial Administration Act<\/a>, CCC must submit an annual Corporate Plan to the Minister.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccc.ca\/en\/about\/corporate-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CCC\u2019s Corporate Plan<\/a>\u00a0outlines objectives and performance measures for the fiscal year.\u00a0 CCC\u2019s work is further guided by the Minister\u2019s direction through letters outlining<a href=\"https:\/\/www.international.gc.ca\/global-affairs-affaires-mondiales\/partners-partenaires\/ccc\/mandate-mandat.aspx?lang=eng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0CCC\u2019s Statement of Priorities and Accountabilities<\/a>.<\/p><p>CCC adheres to all guidelines and regulations concerning the management and governance of Crown corporations set by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.\u00a0 As such, each year we submit an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccc.ca\/en\/about\/corporate-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Annual Report<\/a>\u00a0to demonstrate our performance against our Corporate Plan as well as to report on our operating budget.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Like all Crown corporations, CCC is subject to annual audits (included as part of our Annual Plan) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/special-examination-of-ccc-report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">special examinations<\/a>\u00a0by the Office of the Auditor General of Canada.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1980af8 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1980af8\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-d6abb75\" data-id=\"d6abb75\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a116c07 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a116c07\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Board of directors<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d3d1695 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d3d1695\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>CCC is governed by a Board of Directors whose representatives come primarily from the private sector. The Board\u2019s responsibility is to supervise the direction and management of CCC and oversee its strategic direction as outlined in the Corporate Plan. Board members are appointed by the Government of Canada, and report to Parliament through the Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-dc857b3 elementor-section-boxed The members of the HRC are from the risk, business development, legal and contract management teams.<\/p><p>The HRC reviews transactions and provides recommendations on projects, acting as an advisory function within the Corporation for these issues.
