Ottawa, CANADA – CCC is pleased to announce it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Austrian Ministry of Defence to bring Canadian defence and aerospace solutions to Austria, and sign government to government (G2G) contracts. Every G2G contract signed by CCC has the legal effect of being signed in the name of the Government of Canada and comes with an assurance of contract performance. This minimizes procurement risks for both Canadian exporters and their government buyers.
Austria’s national security priorities are shaped by its historical commitment to neutrality and its strategic geopolitical position in Europe. The Austrian defence budget focuses primarily on maintaining a robust and efficient military force capable of defending the nation’s sovereignty, while also contributing to international peacekeeping missions.
Canada and Austria have a long-standing history of shared interests in defence and security. Both nations have been staunch supporters of Ukraine as it fights Russia’s invasion, in accordance with their obligations under national and international law and the specific character of their security and defence policy. Austria also takes part to NATO’s Partnership for Peace program, which enables bilateral cooperation with Canada through the alliance. The MOU was formally signed by Austrian Ministerial Counsellor Mag. Marco Grill and CCC’s Director of Business Development in Defence and Security Clint Cossette, at a ceremony held in Vienna, Austria.
