Ottawa, CANADA – CCC is pleased to announce that it was awarded a contract by the United States Department of Defense (U.S. DoD) to provide cylindrical roller bearings manufactured by Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. to the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation).
Based in Stratford, Ontario, Schaeffler Aerospace Canada is the Canadian subsidiary of German manufacturer Schaeffler Group. It develops and manufactures high-precision components and systems for engines, transmissions, and chassis. As part of CCC’s contract, Schaeffler Aerospace Canada will supply bearings to DLA Aviation, which is the designated demand and supply manager of the Defense Logistics Agency. DLA Aviation supports the United States’ Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force services.
CCC is the designated contracting authority for purchases by the U.S. DoD from Canada worth USD $250,000 or more. Through its U.S. DoD Prime Contractor service, CCC partners with Canadian businesses like Schaeffler Aerospace Canada to supply the U.S. DoD with made in Canada solutions. To date, CCC and Schaeffler Aerospace Canada have worked together on contracts with the U.S. military worth almost $90 million (CAD).
