Canada at IDEX 2015

CCC will form part of the Government of Canada’s delegation attending the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from February 22-26. The Government of Canada delegation is led by Mr. Martin Zablocki, President and CEO of CCC, and includes 16 Canadian exhibitors, 50 Canadian companies, and three Government of Canada organizations. IDEX is the largest international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region attracting 80,000 delegates and over 1000 exhibitors from 59 countries. “I am proud to be leading the largest Canadian delegation to participate at IDEX. Canada’s defence and security sector is recognized worldwide for its highly specialized products and services and many will be on display over the next five days in the Canada Pavilion,” stated Mr. Martin Zablocki. “As the defence and security export sales organization of the Government of Canada, I want to thank His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for welcoming Canada to the UAE. We look forward to strengthening the long standing relationship between our two countries.” The Canada Pavilion provides a venue at the exhibition for Canadian companies and industry to showcase their capabilities through presentations, demonstrations and tours. Canadian defence and security firms are best known for such products as armoured vehicles, special mission aircraft, and VIP helicopters and for providing leading solutions including protecting the soldier, C4ISR, training systems, cyber security and shelters. The Canada Pavilion is located in Hall 1, Stand 01-B46.For over 40 years, Canada has enjoyed diplomatic relations with the UAE. The bilateral relationship is founded on substantial commercial ties and mutual goals of security and prosperity. It is estimated that approximately 40, 000 Canadians reside and work in the UAE.
