Jim Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification
CCC’s Board of Directors plays a critical role in overseeing the strategic direction of the organization and in ensuring strong governance practices. Members are appointed based on their knowledge and experience, and actively support CCC’s mandate to facilitate trade by helping Canadian exporters gain access to foreign government procurement markets. Through a unique government-to-government contracting approach, CCC positions qualified Canadian exporters to win international contracts with governments abroad, while significantly reducing the risks associated with foreign procurement. CCC also offers commercial advocacy, collaborative project development and foreign contracting expertise to help Canadian exporters and foreign government buyers reduce procurement risk in key markets, including aerospace, clean tech, infrastructure, information and communication technologies as well as defence and public safety.
“I am delighted to welcome these new members to CCC’s Board of Directors—a high-quality, independent board that brings great skill to the governance of the organization. The experience and perspectives of our new members will be invaluable as we continue to deliver on our ambitious diversification strategy to support trade and drive economic growth for Canada.”
Douglas J. Harrison, Chair
